Flanagan to Get Loan Opportunity

The disgraced fullback may get to play some football this season after all.

While Liverpool’s handling of the matter has been the subject of some controversy, it has been perfectly clear that the convicted domestic abuser wouldn’t be seeing the pitch for his hometown club ever again.

As such, it seemed unlikely that Flanagan would be playing any football again this season, given the club decided not to terminate his contract. With only a single EFL Cup appearance to his name this year, the 25-year old hasn’t exactly been in the shop window either.

Yet, Nottingham Forest are now reportedly interested in bringing the lifetime Liverpool lad on board, despite his recent conviction. The deal would be a six-month loan deal, and Flanagan would join Costel Pantilimon and Ashkan Dejagah as a Forest deadline day acquisition.

Whether any of this comes to pass in the end is up in the air, but on a slow Liverpool deadline day, we’ll take what we can get.
