Hull City Join Race to Sign Liverpool Winger Wilson

Hull City will battle Wigan Athletic to take the Wales winger on loan.

Liverpool still look likely to end the January transfer window without having made a major signing following the departure of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona in a big money deal, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be involved in any moves on deadline day.

After earlier reports that League One high-flyers Wigan Athletic wanted to bring Harry Wilson in to bolster their promotion chances, there’s now word that Championship stragglers Hull City are looking to sign him to aid in their survival hops.

It’s an interesting question, then—which would serve Wilson’s development better, joining a side in a six-way fight to avoid finishing in the bottom three in the second tier or joining the best side, one almost certain to be promoted, in the third?

According to the Hull Daily Mail, it’s a question Liverpool and Wilson now have to answer with just hours left to go in the transfer window and two clubs now eager to sign the 20-year-old for the remainder of the current season.
