Roma linked with Liverpool swoop

Roma are the latest club to be linked with a possible move for Daniel Sturridge.

The want-away Liverpool hitman is available for transfer with club officials claiming they are looking for a fee close to £30million.

Sevilla and Inter Milan have expressed an interest in taking the 28-year-old on loan but reports suggest that only Inter are willing to include an option of making the deal permanent in the summer, once any loan concludes.

The latest suggestions are that Roma’s director of football, Monchi, will turn to Sturridge if Edin Džeko is sold to Chelsea.

Sturridge is said to be growing frustrated that Liverpool are holding out for cash only deals. That stance may, of course, change as deadline day approaches.
