Alisson deal could be done within a matter of days

Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson could be a Liverpool player within a matter of days, according to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

It was reported yesterday that Liverpool lodged a bid excess of £60million for AS Roma’s Alisson, and with that, he should become Liverpool’s No 1 goalkeeper shortly.

“Liverpool are now holding the ball of the situation and the will is to close in a short time, especially if Chelsea should soon define the double blow [of losing] Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid,” Di Marzio wrote.

“Liverpool is still ahead (of Chelsea) for Alisson at the moment, so much so that he could close (sign) in the next few days.”

If Liverpool successfully sign Alisson for the fee being reported, it will be a world-record sum for a goalkeeper.
