Danny Ward in talks with Leicester City
Liverpool goalkeeper Danny Ward is in talks with Leicester City over a potential transfer, according to The Liverpool Echo.
Ward was reportedly going to start Liverpool’s pre-season clash against Blackburn Rovers tonight, but with Leicester showing interest in the goalkeeper, that has ultimately led to him pulling out of the game.
Leicester are keen to secure the services of the Welshman for a fee of £12million on a permanent move.
Ward had reportedly gone ahead of Loris Karius in the pecking order at Anfield, but with Liverpool agreeing a world-record fee with AS Roma for the services of goalkeeper Alisson yesterday, Ward looks likely to move.

The interest in Ward from Leicester comes from the situation of a number of clubs. Real Madrid are closing in on a 35m euro deal for Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois.
With that, Chelsea are reportedly going to turn to Kasper Schmeichel, which therefore means the Foxes need a new goalkeeper, and Ward has been identified as that man.
