Reds without likely departures for Blackburn clash
Danny Ward, Ryan Kent and Pedro Chirivella are all absent from the Liverpool squad for the Reds’ fourth pre-season game against Blackburn Rovers, hinting at an imminent exit.
Liverpool are believed to have agreed a £12million fee with Leicester for Danny Ward, who was previously expected to be given an opportunity to impress Jurgen Klopp at Ewood Park.
Ward is set to hold talks with the Foxes this week as he looks to secure potential first-team football.
Loan moves for Kent and Chrivella, meanwhile, could soon be sealed. The former has been linked with opponents Blackburn along with Leeds United and Rangers, while the latter is the subject of interest from the Championship.
Loris Karius will start the game in goal as the club finalise a move for Alisson, who will replace the German as Jurgen Klopp’s no.1.
Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip, Ragnar Klavan and Alberto Moreno make up an experienced defence.
James Milner will captain the team from midfield alongside Adam Lallana and Ben Woodburn, who is again being trialled in a deeper role.

Dominic Solanke is set to lead the line, with Sheyi Ojo, who is also tipped to leave on loan, and Divock Origi, fighting for his Liverpool future, either side of him.
Klopp will make ‘wholesale’ changes at the break and could call on the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Andrew Robertson, Daniel Sturridge and new signings Fabinho and Naby Keita for the second half.
He will be hoping for a more impressive performance after watching his side scrape past Tranmere and play out a turgid goalless draw with Bury.
Liverpool Starrting XI: Karius, Clyne, Matip, Klavan, Moreno, Milner, Lallana, Woodburn, Ojo, Origi, Solanke.
Also available: Fabinho, Van Dijk, Keita, Gomez, Sturridge, Robertson, Phillips, Jones, Markovic, Camacho, Kelleher.
