Charlie Nicholas predicts result of PSG v Liverpool

Sky Sports pundit Charlie Nicholas has predicted that the Champions League group stage clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool at the Parc des Princes stadium will be an entertaining game, but he expects the French side to prevail.

Nicholas has tipped the hosts to win 3-2, which would be detrimental to Liverpool’s chances of progressing to the knockout stages of the competition, as Group C is so evenly poised.

“I expect Neymar and Kylian Mbappe to be back and PSG know they have to go for it, so I expect a great game of football and loads of goals,” he wrote on the Sky Sports website.

“But, purely because they’re at home and they’ve got these superstars knowing they have to make an impact, I’m going for the French side to just win this in a really entertaining game.”

The Reds did defeat PSG at Anfield in the opening week of the group stage this season, which should give them some confidence heading into the clash.
