Mohamed Salah has won the Standard Chartered Player of the Month award for December after scoring seven goals in eight games.

The Egyptian was key to his side’s perfect form during the festive period and although he isn’t the top of the goalscoring in the Premier League, he has helped his side top the league table.

And despite Salah saying he is always glad to be recognised for his personal form and to help his teammates win games, Liverpool need to continue winning and need to bounce back from a 2-1 defeat at the hands of rivals Manchester City.

“Now we need to carry on. We have to show a good reaction after the last league game against Man City. It will be very important for us as a team and as a club.
