Roberto Firmino gives his thoughts ahead of the trip to Brighton
Roberto Firmino is preparing for a tough and gruelling Premier League clash against Brighton and Hove Albion this weekend at the Amex Stadium.
The Reds are coming off their first defeat of the Premier League season against Manchester City, but they still remain four points clear at the top of the table.
Despite the gap, Firmino is keen to add to it this weekend by defeating Brighton, but he knows it will not be easy.
“It’ll be a difficult game. Losing is obviously always bad; nobody likes to lose, and certainly not me,” Firmino told LiverpoolFC.com.
“But now we’ve got to bounce back. We’ve worked hard every day so we’re prepared for the weekend.
“It’ll be a big game, a difficult game and we’ll do our best to get the three points.”

Firmino also touched on the defeat to City, claiming that it will keep the Reds alert to the fact they cannot drop many more points if they wish to claim the title.
“That’s what the Premier League is all about – it’s intensely competitive,” said Firmino.
“If the team at the top stutters, the second place will overtake them. We know we can’t go to sleep and lose silly points. We must maintain our focus until the end of the season.”
