Trent Alexander-Arnold plays through the pain in Brighton win
Trent Alexander-Arnold played through the pain barrier for Liverpool as they defeated Brighton after suffering a minor injury in the warm-up.
The 20-year-old missed a couple of weeks of action during the festive period after an injury to his ankle picked up against Napoli.
The ankle injury kept him out for two weeks, seeing Nathaniel Clyne return to the side against Manchester United and James Milner feature at right-back against Wolves.

The England international returned to the side on Boxing Day to face Newcastle, and appeared to have returned to full fitness as he’s played every game since.
Fans were left panicking when Alexander-Arnold went down in the warm-up, however, where he was left in some discomfort.
James Milner was sent out to warm-up in case he was needed to fill in, but Trent was patched up by the club doctor and eventually put in a great performance at the Amex stadium.
The defender was given more strapping and some painkillers before being given the OK and Klopp says he hopes it’s not anything he has to worry about beyond today.
He said: “I don’t know exactly what it was and I hope it was absolutely nothing; it was not nothing because it was really painful, but I hope it will not take long until he doesn’t feel it anymore.”
