Blow for Klopp as midfielder set to miss Bayern match

Naby Keita is set to miss tonight’s crucial Champions League match against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

The midfielder missed Liverpool’s final training session before the last-16 second leg tie in Germany and will not feature for the Reds tonight.

Keita’s exclusion is due to what officials at Liverpool say is a “minor injury” to the Guinea international.

Nevertheless, losing the No.8 before tonight’s match will come as a blow to Jurgen Klopp and his squad, who face a difficult challenge against the German giants.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Milner are both in the travelling squad, with their fitness due to be assessed later today.

Liverpool need a win or score draw to progress to the quarter-finals.
