Liverpool should consider signing Dele Alli

Delle Alli should be a target for Liverpool if Tottenham continue their awful run of form that has seen them win just three out of their nine Premier League games this season.

The English midfielder hasn’t looked himself for quite some now but that doesn’t hide the fact that he has 133 goal involvements at the age of 23.

For reference, Frank Lampard, widely considered to be England’s greatest ever attacking midfielder, had just 56 goal involvements at the same age.

The Spurs midfielder would be superb under Jurgen Klopp, with his eye for goal and high work rate perfectly suited to the German’s style of play.

Of course, he isn’t perfect and needs to learn when to sit back and when to bomb forward but he wouldn’t take too long to adapt.

The advanced no.8 role that Jordan Henderson has been occupying in recent months would be the perfect position to bring the best out of Alli.

Unfortunately, he signed a brand new contract last year that will keep him at the club until 2024 but if Spurs finish outside the top four this season, Liverpool could tempt him with a move to Anfield.
