Virgil van Dijk's trademark celebration of goals

Virgil van Dijk.

Virgil van Dijk has a habit of celebrating goals before they’ve gone in and a clip from April 2018 shows that he knew Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain would thunder the ball past Ederson.

The Dutchman has been videod several times in the past celebrating Salah’s goals before the Egyptian has even finished the ball into the back of the net and it seems as though he’s been doing it for a while.

Chamberlain, who was unbelievable for the Reds in the 17/18 season, picked the ball up outside the box and thundered it past Ederson to double Liverpool’s lead over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final second leg at Anfield.

The attached YouTube video shows at minute 02:12 that van Dijk had his arms above his head in celebration before Chamberlain’s shot had ripped into the back of the net.

There is such belief in this Liverpool side that has been growing and growing since before Jurgen Klopp guided his players to the Champions League final in 2018.

Since then, the Reds made it to another European Cup final, won it and are now looking to win the Premier League for the first time ever.
