Adam Lallana discusses what Jurgen Klopp has instilled throughout LFC

Reds midfielder Adam Lallana believes Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has instilled a winning culture that stems right throughout the entire club.

Despite fielding a weakened team against Everton’s first XI in the FA Cup at Anfield last weekend, the Reds were still 1-0 victors courtesy of a second-half strike by midfielder Curtis Jones.

Despite having not won a derby at Anfield since 1999, Everton were the favourites heading into the clash on the weekend.

Lallana, however, believes that regardless of the team Klopp fields, the winning mentality he has instilled throughout the club allows them to overcome anything.

“It’s the mentality that is instilled throughout LFC and that started when the manager came in,” Lallana told Liverpoolfc.com.

“He wanted to create his own way of playing, his own mentality and you saw that throughout the whole 90 minutes today.

“I thought second half we were outstanding, the way we controlled the game, got the goal and they never really caused us any problems.

“Adrian was magnificent first half and had to make two or three big saves, but that’s what he’s there for. I thought we fully deserved the win and to get into the next round.”

Lallana is spot on in regards to how Klopp has changed the mentality of the club. Before Klopp arrived, Liverpool were a club full of people who were doubters. However, by changing the personnel and culture, Klopp has been able to transform the club.

Liverpool will face either Bristol City or Shrewsbury Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup. Hopefully the kids get another shot, as they have been sensational when called upon this season.
