Roy Keane wonders if people are getting carried away with Liverpool
Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes that people are getting carried away with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
Liverpool possess a 16-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with a game in hand after beating arch-rivals Manchester United 2-0 at Anfield on Sunday.
It is likely that Liverpool will claim the Premier League title come the end of the season, which would be another trophy added to Klopp’s collection.
The Reds have claimed the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup since the German has been at the helm.
However, Keane believes that Liverpool need to win more than one Premier League title to be considered one of the best teams to grace England’s top division.
“This team have been brilliant in Europe over the last few years and everyone is getting carried away with them because they’ve been so brilliant but this will be their first league title,” Keane said on Sky Sports.
‘You’ve gotta win a few league titles!”

There is no denying that the best teams do have to win multiple trophies to be considered ‘great’, but Keane’s comments are quite disrespectful considering how well Liverpool have done in the past couple of years.
Klopp’s side could quite easily have won a Premier League title had Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City not been so efficient in accumulating points in recent times.
However, come the end of Klopp’s reign, there is no denying his Liverpool will be remembered for all the right reasons.
