Sadio Mane’s time on the sideline confirmed

Reds forward Sadio Mane is expected to miss the next two competitive fixtures that Liverpool feature in due to a hamstring injury.
Liverpool travel to the Olympic Stadium to play West Ham United tonight looking to build on the 16-point lead they possess at the top of the Premier League table.
However, they will have to do it without Mane, who injured his hamstring during Liverpool’s 2-1 Premier League away victory against Wolverhampton Wanderers last week.
The injury is severe enough that Mane will also miss the weekend’s fixture against Southampton in the Premier League. However, he should return after that, according to Red boss Jurgen Klopp.
“Sadio will not be involved for West Ham and probably not for Southampton,” Klopp told the media in his pre-West Ham press conference. “After that he should be then fine.
“The week we have then after that is for him perfect to get back on track.

“He has a small muscle tear, which is serious enough to keep him out. We were lucky with the injury as well, so it was not that serious.
“But of course, when you have three games in a week then that means he is out for these three games.”
It is only two games that the Senegal international will miss, but it is still a blow regardless. Mane has been exceptional for Liverpool this season, and one could argue that he has been Klopp’s best player.
However, the likes of Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino should be able to fill the void for the time being.
