Liverpool 4, Wolves 0: Man Of The Match
After Liverpool dominated Wolves, we want you to rate your man of the match.
Look, let’s be honest. We could pretty much thrown any of the Liverpool players in the poll for Man of the Match against Wolves. It was that good of a performance across the board. Unfortunately for me, I have to somehow narrow things down a bit.
Mohamed Salah will get the plaudits for his goal and assist, but he also did some good work to win the ball back defensively as well. The defensive partnership of Joel Matip and Fabinho did a great job defending in transition, winning numerous tackles while isolated. Matip also chipped in with a stooping header for a goal. Liverpool’s ironman, Georgiono Wijnaldum, was stellar again in his midfield role, and also hit a beautiful curler to the top corner for a goal. Andrew Robertson put in another all energy display, doing a stellar job tracking the speedy Adama Traore, and also got forward to great effect, whipping in some delicious crosses. Finally, Liverpool’s captain, Jordan Henderson, was again a quiet force marshaling the Reds. His long range passing was on point to break the lines, and he provided the assist to Wijnaldum.
With our favored polling tool out of service, we’re instead giving you a choice between a few of the players we thought looked best today for the Reds, so make your choice below and vote for who you think should be the man of the match—or take to the comments to let us know that we got it wrong by leaving the real man of the match off the list entirely.
As always, anyone visiting on Apple News or Google AMP who wish to vote and can’t see the poll can make it visible by navigating to the front page of The Liverpool Offside and re-entering the story.
