Liverpool and Arsenal ‘target’ injured
Liverpool and Arsenal ‘target’ Kerem Demirbay is facing a lengthy layoff after sustaining ankle ligament damage.
The 24-year-old Hoffenheim midfielder, who was heavily linked with the Reds during the January transfer window, picked up the injury during a 1-1 draw at Hertha Berlin at the weekend.
Demirbay was injured following a challenge from Jordan Torunarigha and scans have confirmed that he ruptured the anterior ligament and partially torn the syndesmosis ligament in his right ankle.

The injury comes only days after claims that both Arsenal and ourselves are willing to meet the £28million release clause in his contract in the summer.
Demirbay recently admitted that a move to the Premier League would interest him and if reports are to be believed, Anfield representatives have already held informal talks with the player’s representatives about a possible move.
