Gary Neville takes aim at Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri
Gary Neville has criticised the Swiss international and Liverpool target Xherdan Shaqiri before Switzerland’s 1-1 draw with Brazil on Monday night.
Speaking to ITV, Neville expressed his concern regarding Shaqiri as a footballer claiming he lacks professionalism.
“I’m not a fan of Shaqiri to be honest with you,” said Neville.
“I think that was, to be fair, worse by the fact that he distanced himself from his teammates as Stoke.
“They were unprofessional last season Stoke there’s no doubt and he epitomised it.

“He could score the goal of the tournament and he could have the most amazing game.
“But he could also be there for three matches, do nothing and just amble and wobble around.
“To be honest with you with him, players like that I can’t have. I struggle with it.”
It has been reported that Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring Shaqiri to Anfield as he has a relegation release clause.
Liverpool are currently in the market for attacking options as the squad was very thin in the attacking half of the pitch towards the end of last season.
Shaqiri has been deemed someone that could play anywhere across the front, which would make him a handy squad player.
