Danny Ward will be given chance against Blackburn Rovers
Danny Ward will be given a chance to shine in Liverpool’s pre-season clash against Blackburn Rovers on Thursday ahead of Loris Karius, according to The Liverpool Echo.
It has been reported that Jurgen Klopp will give Ward his chance to become the No 1 this season, so it did come as a surprise when Karius played ahead of the Welshman last Saturday against Bury.
It appears though that the game against Blackburn will be more of a challenge, which is why Ward was left out against Bury as Klopp would like to see the Welshman against a better standard of a team.

Despite how well Ward plays on Thursday night, it could mean very little as it appears Liverpool are closing in on signing Brazilian No 1 Alisson, but that has yet to be confirmed.
There is also an update on Georginio Wijnaldum who is yet to feature in a pre-season friendly. He has been carrying a muscle injury and that may impact his chances of playing against Blackburn.
