Fabinho backs Liverpool for title challenge

Having recently signed from AS Monaco, Fabinho is confident his new team are capable of challenging for the Premier League title in the upcoming season.

Fabinho signed for Liverpool for a reported fee of £44million within 48 hours of the club losing to Real Madrid in the Champions League final. He believes that the current group of players at Liverpool have the ability to be a threat to Manchester City this season in the league.

“We have a very good team and we will be able to fight for the title,” Fabinho told The Independent.

“I have just started with my teammates and I understand we have excellent players. We have an excellent manager and a very good group.

“I understand City are the champions and produced excellent football last season, but we will do our best to get the title from them and make everyone here is happy.”
