Jurgen Klopp – “We have everything we need”

Jurgen Klopp has said that Liverpool are unlikely to do anymore transfer business this summer.

Liverpool have had a successful transfer window thus far signing players of top quality. Alisson officially joined Liverpool yesterday which made him the fourth signing of the transfer window. He joins Naby Keita, Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri as one of the new recruits.

Nabil Fekir has been a target for Klopp this transfer window, and Fekir nearly was a Liverpool player until an issue with his medical appeared, but the German manager believes he has the squad he wants going into the new season despite speculation that the Reds will go back in for the Frenchman.

“I don’t know. We will see. We have everything we need for the next season, because I don’t think we will do anything more [in the market]. I’m pretty sure of that,” said Klopp, as quoted by Goal.

“We have the squad for now and that’s the most important thing. We were not too bad last year but we had to improve and we tried that on the transfer market.

“I’m really happy with our signings to be honest, so now let’s use the last few weeks to be as good as possible.”

Some players are still expected to leave Liverpool this transfer window in search of opportunity whether that is on a permanent or loan basis.
