Lyon to offer Nabil Fekir new contract

Fekir was on the verge of joining Liverpool before the World Cup got underway, but an issue with his medical prevented the move from taking place.

Whether Liverpool still want the Frenchman is unknown, but it’s now being reported that Lyon will offer Fekir a new deal.

Lyon’s club president Jean-Michel Aulas was quoted saying the following: “I never felt like he wanted to leave us. We do not need to sell. We are going to be playing in the Champions’ League and our footballing ambitions are already a strong argument. I am not worried about either Nabil or Marcelo (wanted by West Ham)… The English have money, but so do we.”
