Liverpool face stiff competition from Real Madrid to sign €120million-rated star
Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing Liverpool target Joao Felix, who has been dubbed as the ‘next Cristiano Ronaldo’ by Spanish media.
The Reds allegedly submitted a €70million bid for the Portuguese teenager in the January transfer window, according to a report from Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manha.
The bid was rejected immediately and interest from the likes of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund has since been registered.

Spanish news outlet AS claims that Real Madrid are eyeing Felix as the heir to Ronaldo and if Liverpool are indeed interested in the prodigy, they will face stiff competition from the 13-time European champions to secure his signature.
That said, it does seem outlandish to assume that Jurgen Klopp and Michael Edwards might spend over €70m on a 19-year-old.
Felix might turn into Europe’s next big thing but given the nature of Liverpool’s transfer strategy, sacrificing a huge portion of the transfer budget on a player for the future isn’t a viable way for the Reds to build for the future.
