Ryan Kent seals Rangers loan move

Ryan Kent will spend the 2018/19 season on loan at Steven Gerrard’s Rangers, Sky Sports report.

Kent was absent from the Liverpool squad for their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on Thursday night, hinting that his departure was imminent.

And he has now reportedly completed his temporary move to Ibrox, where he will join up with another Liverpool loanee, Ovie Ejaria, as well as Jon Flannagan, who was released by the Reds earlier in the summer.

The 21-year-old does not appear to have a future at Anfield despite penning a long-term contract less than twelve months ago.

He was loaned to Bristol City and Freiburg last season but did not manage to impress, notching a combined 17 appearances at the two clubs and failing to find the net.

Liverpool have already sanctioned loan moves for Ejaria, Harry Wilson and Adam Bogdan this summer and more are expected to follow.

Ben Woodburn, Taiwo Awoniyi, Pedro Chirivella, Allan Rodrigues de Souza, Sheyi Ojo and Marko Grujic could all be given the opportunity to seek first-team football elsewhere as Jurgen Klopp trims his squad.
