Andrew Robertson believes Torino game at Anfield will help the team for West Ham

Andrew Robertson believes that Liverpool’s final pre-season clash against Torino at Anfield is the perfect way to go into the new campaign.

Robertson believes getting back to Anfield before facing West Ham United will only do the team good, especially for the players who have never played on the famous pitch.

Robertson told the official Liverpool FC magazine the following: “I think a game at Anfield in front of our fans can get us used to playing at home again.

“A few of the lads who were at the World Cup went quite deep into the tournament so they’ll be back in training quite late, so it’ll be good for them to maybe get a game before the season starts.

“It’s also good for us to get used to our surroundings again, especially the new signings who can get a feel for Anfield before it comes on the Sunday because if it takes you 10 to 15 minutes on the Sunday, then that’s time you don’t really have because we need to be ready to go from the first whistle.

“It will get them used to the surroundings and it will give us the feeling back of playing at Anfield and then we’ll be good to go against West Ham.”
