Lazar Markovic set to complete move to Greek side PAOK
Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic is on the brink of a move to Greek outfit PAOK, according to reports in the Echo.
Prior reports had suggested that the Serbian was heading to Germany on loan, but PAOK appear to have moved to the head of the queue.
Markovic hasn’t featured for Liverpool in a competitive game since 2015 and has been loaned out for the last three seasons. He spent the second half of last season at Anderlecht before returning to Melwood in pre-season – Anderlecht remain keen on another loan deal for this season, as do Standard Leige and Olympiakos.

Klopp will not doubt be glad to move Markovic on. For whatever reason, the winger has never been able to adapt to English football and has failed to garner favour with either Klopp or Brendan Rodgers, who signed him from Benfica in 2014 for £20million.
The 24-year-old Serbian is open to the prospect of joining PAOK, where he should get regular playing time.
PAOK were eliminated from the Champions League qualifying round last night after a 5-2 aggregate loss to Benfica, a result that kept Liverpool in pot three for tonight’s draw.
Markovic and PAOK have until Friday evening to secure a deal before the European transfer window slams shut.
