Jurgen Klopp pleased Liverpool are not relying on Mohamed Salah
Jurgen Klopp is pleased his side are finding ways to win without Mohamed Salah being at his absolute best.
The Egyptian scored a total of 44 goals last season for Liverpool in all competitions, becoming the main man at Anfield.
He has had somewhat of a slow start to the 2018-19 season, with two goals from five games, but Klopp believes it is not a problem as his side have more than one goalscorer, and he does not expect Salah to have the perfect season like last.
“That was always clear. Of course, it’s important that we don’t have only one goalscorer,” Klopp said in a post-match conference, as quoted by Goal.
“Do you have to wait for those problems to happen to know if you can deal with them, or do you think you are genuine title contenders?

“I don’t have the personality that waits for problems, but I’m also old enough to know that they will come.
“We all have the same situation in a football team. I’m long enough in this business to know that nobody plays a perfect season. Not even City last season played a perfect season.
“It’s no problem. It’s The Egypt star was again missing from the scoresheet as the Reds defeated Spurs at Wembley till early, five games, fantastic we’ve won all of them, we have improved during that.
“So far, the best performance was the first matchday but that depended a bit on the opponent may be, and now this today was by far the best performance of the season.
“I like that development, to be honest, and now we have to prove that and to do it again and again and again. We will see if we can do so.”
