Jurgen Klopp warns his side that tougher times are to come throughout the season

Jurgen Klopp is delighted with the start to the season his side have made, which has seen the Reds win the first five games of their Premier League campaign, but he has warned his team that tougher times are to come.

The Reds claimed a big scalp in Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley Stadium yesterday with a 2-1 win, but Klopp knows that despite the perfect start his side have made, he wants his team to keep a lid on everything.

“We’ve won a few games and that’s good, very good, but it doesn’t change anything,” Klopp said, as quoted by the Evening Standard.

“This game was really good and I’m happy with my squad, but we even had problems with this game so we’ll have problems during the season.

“How we’ll deal with that I have no idea. At the moment it’s okay. We won at Tottenham and that’s the only thing I was interested in. So we carry on.

“I’m not the type of person who waits for problems, but I’m old enough to know they will come. I’m long enough in this business to know that nobody plays a perfect season.

“Even City last year didn’t play the perfect season. It’s fantastic that we’ve won all five games. We’ve improved and this was by far our best performance of the season, so I like that development. Now we have to do it again and again.”
