Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson given all-clear after cancer scare
Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson has been given the all-clear after revealing on social media that he had a cancer scare earlier this year.
The 61-year-old former Preston, Brighton and Liverpool defender said he had a “facial cancerous blemish” removed.

The BBC pundit has now learned he has been given the all-clear from the disease.
Lawrenson, who earned 39 caps for the Republic of Ireland, praised the staff at Ormskirk and Whiston Hospitals.
The defender won five league titles, the FA Cup and three League Cups, as well as the European Cup in 1984 for the Reds.
