PSG team news ahead of Liverpool clash

Marquinhos is likely to start in midfield for PSG when they visit Anfield on Tuesday, according to a predicted XI provided by RMC.

The Brazilian is primarily a centre-back but manager Thomas Tuchel has hinted that he could be deployed as a defensive midfielder in the absence of Marco Verratti, who was sent off in their last European match away to Real Madrid.

That means 23-year-old Presnel Kimpembe is set to start alongside the experienced Thiago Silva in the heart of the defence.

PSG signed Champions League veteran Gianluigi Buffon this summer but the Italian is unavailable for this fixture after his red card in last season’s quarterfinal at the Bernabeu.

Juan Bernat has only made one appearance for the club following his Deadline Day move from Bayern but is tipped to start on the left side of the back four, setting up a potential battle with Mohamed Salah.
