Trent Alexander-Arnold expected to sign new Liverpool deal
Trent Alexander-Arnold, as with compatriot Joe Gomez, is reported to be on the verge of agreeing a bumper new deal to keep him at Liverpool for the foreseeable future.
Both young England internationals, who have become first-choice under Jurgen Klopp, are to be rewarded for the fine form by earning significant pay rises.
Gomez has been partnered alongside Virgil van Dijk in the absence of Dejan Lovren and has cemented himself in the centre-back position, while Alexander-Arnold has climbed ahead of Nathaniel Clyne to claim the right-back spot as his own.
According to various reports, Alexander-Arnold, who signed a new contract just last April, is set to earn a 50% pay increase, taking his wages to £60,000-a-week.

Captain Jordan Henderson was full of praise for Gomez last week after the 21-year-old defender only conceded one goal in the opening four games at centre-back.
“He’s already very good but he can be even better,” Henderson told Sky Sports News. “He’s still young, still improving, still learning. There’s no better place for that than Liverpool, with the players he’s got around him.”
Both Gomez and Alexander-Arnold are expected to commit to Liverpool for a further five years and extend their deals to 2023.
