Loris Karius denies Besiktas rumours with Instagram post
Loris Karius has moved to deny the rumours that he will be sent back to Liverpool from Besiktas, according to the Daily Star.
The German joined Besiktas on a two-year loan deal from the Reds in the summer after Alisson Becker arrived from Roma for what was briefly the biggest fee ever for a goalkeeper.
Karius’ loan deal included a £2.2million fee and an option to make the move permanent in 2020, but that outcome appeared increasingly unlikely as his poor form from Liverpool continued in Turkey.
The goalie has started every match since his move and has conceded 15 goals in 10 games, making a few individual errors along the way that have resulted in opponents scoring.

That came on the back of his nightmare display in the Champions League final, which left him in tears by the final whistle. Though it was later revealed that he suffered concussion during the game, the damage had already been done, and Liverpool spent £67million on Alisson as his replacement.
A report emerged yesterday that Besiktas were looking to send Karius back to his parent club in January, and were also considering a move for Divock Origi.
Karius’ agent was quick to dismiss the rumours surrounding his client, and it appears the payer himself has now responded as well.
The 25-year-old, who is fond of social media, posted an Instagram photo of himself drinking coffee with the caption “Coffee first, media’s bull**** second”.
For now, it seems Karius is staying put in Turkey, where he will hope to improve upon his questionable start and push on for the duration of his loan spell.
