Napoli save felt like scoring a goal, says Alisson
Alisson Becker admits that the emotion of making a stoppage-time save against Napoli at Anfield in the Champions League felt like scoring a goal such was the importance and timing of the stop.
Liverpool are through to the Round of 16 thanks to Alisson after the Brazilian denied Arkadiusz Milik from point blank range in the 90th minute of the final Group C game.
Had the Polish forward scored, Napoli would be in the next round of the Champions League and Liverpool would be in the Europa League.

When asked by the Times if making the save right at the end of the game felt like scoring a goal, Alisson said: “Definitely that is the case.
“A save at the end of the game is always great and you feel you have contributed to the game. Of course, an important save in the first minute is as important as a save in the last minute but for the fans it’s the closest thing to scoring a goal in the last minute, like we did in the derby against Everton.
“But I only managed to make that save with the help of my teammates’ contribution and thank God we got the victory.”
