Xherdan Shaqiri Vows To Repay Fans

Shaqiri scored another great goal on Sunday.
Can you say cult legend in the making?
Xherdan Shaqiri has taken Anfield by storm, impressing every Reds’ fan with his hard work and excellent performances. Sunday was no exception, when the Swiss international scored Liverpool’s second goal of the afternoon, securing another victory for the good guys. After his goal, he was rewarded with a much-deserved standing ovation from the home crowd.
“It’s always nice when you get a standing ovation and the people are behind you,” Shaqiri said. “We have amazing fans and I scored again in front of the Kop so it was a nice feeling.”
Add Shaqiri to the list of Klopp transfer who joined the club with little fanfare and then ended up making a huge difference to the team. He can get in line behind Sadio Mané as the man who provided the assist for him on Sunday, Andy Robertson.
“We have a very good team, a young team, so our process is going very well and I’m just proud to be part of this team,” Shaqiri continued. “I try to give good performances and pay the coach and the fans back. You need to be ready to train hard every day. I’m feeling good, I’m fit, and I’m trying to give my best every time I get a chance.”
