CONFIRMED: Liverpool starting XI and subs to face Manchester United

mohamed salah

Liverpool have predictably chosen a strong side to face Manchester United as the home side looks to return to the top of the Premier League table with a win.

After a morale-boosting midweek victory over Napoli at Anfield, Liverpool will feel confident in their ability to play the kind of football that can take Manchester United apart.

It looks as though the Reds are moving into first gear at exactly the right time as the Christmas fixture list has dealt damage to Klopp’s Liverpool sides in the past.

Up front, there are no changes made to the famous trio of Salah, Mane and Firmino that started against Napoli midweek.

In midfield, Keita, Fabinho and Wijnaldum start together once again.

At the back, with injuries galore, Klopp has chosen to go with Robertson at left back, van Dijk and Lovren at centre half and Nathaniel Clyne at right back. Unsurprisingly, Alisson starts in goal and targets his 11th clean sheet in the Premier League.

Starting XI: Alisson, Clyne, van Dijk, Lovren, Robertson; Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Keita, Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Subs: Mignolet, Moreno, Camacho, Henderson, Lallana, Shaqiri, Sturridge.
