Jurgen Klopp on Bayern draw: “I am looking forward to it”
Jurgen Klopp has spoken about Liverpool’s Champions League draw against Bayern Munich in the last 16 of the competition, admitting that it will be “tough”.
The Reds were drawn against the German team this morning in Nyon, with the first leg taking place at Anfield on February 19 before the return leg at the Allianz Arena on March 13.
Klopp was a beaten Champions League finalist against Bayern in 2013, but claims he is “looking forward” to facing the Bundesliga giants once again.

“Difficult. Good draw. It was clear it would be difficult [and] they are obviously a top side,” said Klopp, as quoted by the Evening Standard.
“For me it’s nice, going to Germany. But it’s just the draw. So we have now time to prepare the game, a lot of time obviously, and hopefully we have all our players available then.
“It will be a tough one, an interesting one, and I am looking forward to it.”
Klopp was also quizzed about the impact the German winter break could have on the outcome of the tie, with Bayern set to play just 8 games between now and the Anfield clash compared to Liverpool’s maximum of 11 matches.
“The winter break doesn’t make a massive difference,” Klopp replied.
“It makes only a massive difference with injuries and stuff like that, German clubs have the time, two or three weeks, to bring players back and stuff like that while in the same moment we have 10 games.
“But in February it should not have a massive influence.”
