Jurgen Klopp thrilled with Liverpool progressing to last 16 of Champions League

Jurgen Klopp is delighted with the performance his team displayed tonight against Napoli at Anfield, which eventuated in a 1-0 victory, exactly what Liverpool needed to progress to the knockout stage of the Champions League.
It was Mohamed Salah’s goal in the first half that proved the difference in the end, although Liverpool definitely could have scored a few more, but it did not matter.
“I’m still full of good feeling. This game was just amazing. Outstanding, unbelievable. The boys played with their whole heart on the pitch,” said Klopp in his post-match press conference.

It did at one stage look as if all of Liverpool’s hard work was about to be undone when Arkadiusz Milik had an opportunity late in the game to get Napoli the goal they needed, but Alisson further showed why the club spent £65million to gain his services.
“After 65 minutes, it was really wild. Counter, counter, counter. The save Alisson made I have no words. It was life-saving tonight,” Klopp added.
The Reds finished second in Group C behind Paris Saint-Germain.
