Kevin De Bruyne believes Liverpool can sustain title challenge

Liverpool can sustain their Premier League title challenge, says Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

The Reds reclaimed their spot at the top of the table after the champions briefly went above Liverpool with a win over Everton on Saturday.

Two goals from Xherdan Shaqiri made the difference against a very poor Manchester United side that would have failed to score a goal had it not been for an Alisson blunder.

De Bruyne said: “I don’t know why they can’t sustain it. I think they will go on to the end.

“To be fair I’m not too worried about them – they will do what they do and we’ll have to try to win our games and go forward.

“They’ll try to keep pace with us and vice versa. But it’s still early. There’s no pressure we need to do what we do.”
