Steven Gerrard provides injury update on Ryan Kent

Liverpool winger Ryan Kent is on loan at Rangers for the 2018/19 season and after picking up a knock, Steven Gerrard has confirmed he is a doubt for the Europa League clash with Rapid Vienna.
The former Liverpool skipper has dived into his managerial career head first and having played a game more than Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic, Rangers are just two points behind the Scottish Premier League leaders.
Kent, another Rangers man with Liverpool roots, has been impressive for Rangers this season and will be a big miss if he is absent for the midweek European clash in Austria.

During Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Dundee on Sunday, Kent was subbed off after picking up a knock after playing brilliantly in the first half.
Although he wouldn’t specify the exact nature of the injury Kent sustained, Gerrard did say that there is a chance it’s just a knock and the hope is that he is fit to face Rapid Vienna.
He said: “He’s got an issue I think. We’ll have to check it out. We’re hoping it’s just precaution but he felt some discomfort so he had to take him off.”
