Liverpool set to recall Ben Woodburn after unsuccessful loan spell
Ben Woodburn is set to return to Liverpool early after an unsuccessful loan spell with Sheffield United.
The 19-year-old has a bright future and after breaking into the first team at Anfield under Jurgen Klopp during the 2016/17 season, he was tipped to become the next great player to graduate from the Liverpool Academy.
However, since becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer, he has struggled somewhat and his development has stalled.

Reports indicate that Liverpool are set to recall Woodburn from his season-long loan spell at Sheffield United and although no official announcement has yet been made, he is already on Merseyside and will not return to Yorkshire.
He returned to Melwood for treatment on an ankle injury and with his fortunes under Chris Wilder dire, he will not be going back to Sheffield. Woodburn is expected back in training next week and is still highly thought of by Jurgen Klopp.
It’s unclear what will become of him for the remainder of the season with no domestic cup opportunities to get game time at first team level and with Liverpool pushing for the Premier League title and in the round of 16 in the Champions League, minutes will be hard to come by.
