Andy Robertson reveals what Liverpool must do to beat Bayern Munich
Andy Robertson says that Liverpool need to be clinical to overcome Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie after being held to a goalless draw at Anfield by the Bavarians.
The Reds certainly had their chances to win the game but it must be said that Bayern’s defenders, Joshua Kimmich in particular, defender extremely well to prevent Jurgen Klopp’s side from taking a one or two goal advantage to the Allianz Arena.
At the very least, given that Fabinho had to deputise at centre half for the suspended Virgil van Dijk, Klopp will be pleased that his defence didn’t concede an away goal which could be a subtle but potentially decisive advantage.

“Of course they’ll be happier with a clean sheet but a clean sheet at home in the Champions League is so crucial because we know that when we go over there one goal counts as a wee bit more than that, and if we can grab one then they have to score two at least,” Robertson said.
“These are all things that come into play and with the chances we’ve got, if we can be a bit more clinical we believe we can score over there.
“We back ourselves to win any game whether it’s home or away, and tonight that’s why we’re disappointed.
“Going over there’s a new challenge, there’s probably be a wee bit more pressure on them than us because they’re at home and their fans will start demanding things.
“We can try and play our game and try and create the chances that we need and get goals, and if that happens it’ll put us in the driving seat.
“But it’s a long way away now and it needs to get put to the back of the mind because we’ve got big Premier League games coming up so Bayern are forgotten about for just now.”
