Liverpool suffer devastating injury blow ahead of West Ham meeting

Jurgen Klopp says that it’s possible that Joe Gomez might need another surgery to heal a broken leg that has kept him out of action since the start of December.

The young English defender suffered a broken leg against Burnley and after undergoing surgery has been out of action ever since.

Speaking to the English media, Klopp admitted that there is a chance that Gomez might need more surgery.

“It is not exactly going how we want – that’s how it is,” Klopp said.

“He needs more time. We will see exactly how we do it. There were different moments we thought we could do this or that but it will take time. We can not say more.”

Asked whether Gomez requirs another operation, the manager replied: “I don’t know. We will see. It is possible, probably.”
