Alex Ferguson thinks Liverpool will win the league
Sir Alex Ferguson believes Liverpool will win the Premier League title this season.
According to Jonathan Walters, Ferguson had told Walters’ ex-Burnley teammate Phil Bardsley that he thinks Jurgen Klopp’s side will win the league because Manchester United will take points off City in the derby.
The crucial clash between the two Manchester clubs could decide the outcome of the title race this season, and Ferguson revealed that he suspects the Reds will walk away with the trophy come May.

“I was chatting with Phil Bardsley and I’m gonna drop a name here, he was sat with Sir Alex Ferguson,” Walters said.
“He sat with him and he thinks Liverpool are gonna win it. He thinks Liverpool because he thinks United will get something out of the City game.”
United supporters, for the most part, would prefer City to win the title but with the Red Devils still in the hunt for a Champions League spot, there can be no room for complacency when United host City next week.
