Liverpool linked with shock £70million move for Everton star

Everton attacker Richarlison has been linked with a shock move to Liverpool this summer, according to the Mirror.

Reports had circulated yesterday that Reds manager Jurgen Klopp met with the Brazilian’s agent over a potential £70million move to Anfield.

Everton, however, do not plan on letting the 21-year-old go, especially not to their local rival.

The Toffees signed Richarlison for £35million in the summer, and he’s become a focal point in their attacking force this season, scoring 12 goals in the Premier League

The player himself used his social media account to quash the rumours, posting images of himself inan Everton shirt along with the words “I’m happy.”

Manager Marco Silva also dismissed speculation earlier in the week that the Brazilian could leave.

“We are not thinking of selling him and, second, our fans – I am 100% sure – would not accept this,” Silva said.

“The player is really happy here, he is enjoying every moment here, we are really happy with him and he has many things to keep improving in his game and many things for us to keep working on with him.

“But, we as a club, do not put a price on him, it is important we keep him and all the others too and keep building an identity in our club.

“We have to keep our best players.”
