Rumour Mongering: Ajax Starlet and Rumoured Liverpool Target Considering Move

The Brazilian sensation has been linked with a host of Europe’s top sides
Be it Red Bull Leipzig’s Timo Werner, Benfica’s João Félix (drool), Lille’s Nicolas Pepe or even recycling an older name such as Bayer Leverkeusen’s Julian Brandt, a versatile young forward is mooted to be joining the Liverpool’s vaunted attack force come the summer transfer window.
It is a testament to the club’s return to prominence under Jürgen Klopp that only the best and the brightest talents are being linked to Merseyside and in truth, most Reds supporters would be elated were any of the names listed above to do the Melwood lean. However, tuning into that other Champions League semifinal happening in two week’s time would provide Reds fans a close look at a new name that has cropped up in the rumour mill of late: Ajax’s David Neres.
The Brazilian forward has shone on a soon-to-be cruelly dismantled Ajax side chock full of talent such as the likes of Frenkie de Jong, Matthijs de Ligt and Hakim Ziyech, with the 22-year-old in particular having enjoyed a breakout season.

Neres for one has done little to dispel the rumours about a potential move: “I have to see what is best for me, for my career and my family,” he said speaking to Voetbal Primeur “We will see what the future holds, but I have a contract here and I am satisfied here.”
