Steve Nicol: Salah should have been sent off
Former Liverpool player Steve Nicol thinks Mohamed Salah should have been sent off for his challenge on Danilo in last night’s match against Porto.
The Reds were 2-0 up courtesy of Naby Keita and Roberto Firmino but failed to add to their lead throughout the second half.
With ten minutes remaining, Salah caught Danilo on the shin with his studs, causing outrage among the Porto players and coaching staff.

And Nicol, now a pundit for ESPN, believes the Egyptian should have seen red.
“I would agree with you 100 per-cent,” Nicol said.
“I thought it was a red.
“Fortunately, Mo Salah was not going for the player.
“He completely misjudged where the ball was and went over the top of him.
“I don’t think he had any intention whatsoever of catching the player.
“But it was reckless, it endangered the opponent, and it should have been a red, whether he means it or not.”
