Loris Karius happy to stay at Besiktas for next season

Loris Karius says he will stay at Besiktas next season despite experiencing a turbulent time in Turkey so far.

The Liverpool loanee joined the Turkish side on a two-year deal last summer but has ensured heavy criticism at times for his performances.

However, a recent upturn in form appears to have settled him, and the German goalkeeper appears content to remain with his loan club for another season.

According to Fotomac, the 25-year-old confirmed his stay just this week, stating: “I think that if all parties are happy and satisfied, I will continue. My contract with Besiktas continues.”

Simon Mignolet is likely to leave Anfield this summer, and with Karius set to stay in Turkey, the Reds will be on the lookout for a new deputy for Alisson Becker this summer.
