Real Madrid ruled out of Sadio Mane pursuit by club president

Real Madrid have been withdrawn from any pursuit of Sadio Mane this summer by club president Florentino Perez, according to TeamTalk.

Mane has enjoyed a superb season at Anfield once again, matching Mohamed Salah in the race for the Golden Boot with 26 goals in all competitions.

His form drew the attention of Zinedine Zidane, who has been tasked with the job of rebuilding a fading Madrid side this summer.

The club reportedly urged Mane to push for a move away from Liverpool earlier this month, with Zidane identifying him as a key target.

However, Eduardo Inda has now revealed that president Perez has ruled Madrid out of any race for the No.10’s signature.

“Zidane has differences with Thibaut Courtois, having wanted to continue with Keylor,” Inda said.

“Pogba is closer than we think.

“And Mane, Liverpool has asked 200 million euros (£175m) and Florentino has said no.”
