Mane: We’re feeling “really positive” about Champions League final

Sadio Mane says Liverpool are feeling “really positive” ahead of the Champions League final on June 1.

Mane and his teammates travelled to Liverpool’s training camp in Marbella to continue preparations for the huge clash against Tottenham in Madrid next month.

And the Senegal attacker, who has been one of Liverpool’s leading stars this season, is confident his side can go one better than last year.

“It didn’t happen this time but we have the experience (of a title race) and now we are in a final, which is another target that’s very important for us,” he told LiverpoolFC.com.

“The league is behind us, Manchester City did so well and for sure they deserved it. We tested them, but we have to say congratulations and now we look forward to the final.

“We have some experience about it and we know how it is because we were there last year and were unlucky we didn’t win, although Real were very good.

“We are feeling really positive and for us it would be a big thing (to win). It is exciting and we want to win it, for sure – everybody knows.”

He added: “We’re not here to think twice about it, we’re just going to go there to try to win it.”
